Ambury Farm

At the 26th of november the whole year 5’s had a trip which was Ambury farm. When we got there we met two nice ladies Debbie, And Janine. They were experts at farming. First thing we did was get into our groups. Did you know ambury farm is a very cool place to go to so you can learn about animals. LIke facts, and interesting stuff.  

At ambury farm i found out that cows can make up to 25 or more litre’s of milk.  I also found out that sheep have special oil called lanolin. When sheep are outside and when its raining there fur get wet but the inside of the fur don't get wet they stay warm and dry.

At ambury farm i wanted to see the bull but i couldn’t find the bull. The bull’s were gone. As soon as we walked pass the piglets i saw all the piglets i thought they they were cute and they were very cute.  

I said “look at the piglets aren’t they cute”. But there was one piglet he was the smallest i felt sorry for that one because it couldn’t get milk and the  bigger ones were pushing it away.  I saw the turkey’s they looked very scary and angry one jumped fast up to the fence and over it. As soon as we had to go i was sad. I didn’t  want to leave because it was so fun there.

I really loved ambury farm i give it a 10 out of 10.

The Over weighted Watermelon

Here is a story starter i made on my chrome book hope you like it

Once upon a time there was an over weighted water melon that was scared of spiders. His name was melonade. He liked to drink lemonade on a hot day that is why he called his self melonade. One day he was walking through the forest and he saw a spider. He was freaking out when the spider struck at him. He got very frightened. The spider was poking him and making him die he didn't die because he shaked and the spider went flying into the tree and the watermelon squashed it.

When the spider struck him he attacked with his  poisonous strike. He was dying. After a few  days he was getting rotten and he blew up. The spider was a trianchulah who struck him. He was a very good watermelon his wife was very sad when he died but guess what? He grew up again And he was so happy this time he wasn't scared of spiders anymore. So he lived happily ever after.

I learned not to be selfish. if you be selfish you will never get anything. There was a character in this story which was dad he is selfish, and bossy. He tried to put the big tree on top of his car roof instead of mailing mum’s parcels. And when he went home, the tree couldn’t fit in the house.

Manaiakalani Film Fest

Yesterday for manaiakalani film fest i was a presenter. I was so nervous that i had to stand up on the stage in front of over 600 hundred people. And i had to present our movie.And we did our presentation twice. My partner was Rowana. Our movie was called Who Pushed Humpty? My favourite movie was Teen beach from Room 14. That was my favourite movie because the songs. And i like the real movie to. It was very short because we had to cinemas going the Extreme Screen and the other Cinema. As soon as it was my turn i went up my speech was kia ora my name is kyan. Did you know humpty could have been a riddle, or about a king, or about a clumsy person that keeps falling over. Was he pushed or did he fall watch our movie to find out. When we finished we walked down the stage And as soon as i got off i didn't feel nervous anymore.

Athletics

Have you’ve ever had athletics before? On friday morning we had Athletics . My House Colour was yellow which is for Takitimu. Before we had athletics we had to go to the courts and we sorted out what we were gonna do first.

 This years athletics was different to last years athletics. This year we were in grade’s but last year it went in ages. I was really looking forward to athletics. First up we had High jump the first level of the bar was easy for me. But when it went higher it got hard for a lot of us.

as soon as we finished High jump these people where the winner Sohel, Stevenson, and Jordan. After that we had sprints i had to race against lots of fast people. My heart was beating when Mr burt was gonna clap the clappers. then as soon as i heard a big “BANG!” i ran fast.

But i came fourth i wasn't happy that i came fourth. then i had my second race and in that race me and Aaron came a tie at third. but i didn't make it in the finals. The third activity we did was discus.

For em discus was hard because the discus was too big for me to hold i couldn't swing it far. But i did my best i nearly came third but just 2 metres away from it. the boy’s that made it was Cyrus, Stevenson, and Jordan. I really liked athletics because we had lots of activities. we had more than seven activities.
