A food chain is an order of living organisms that shows us what eats what.
A food chain always starts with a producer for example plankton.
Then you have a consumer that eats the producer, for example a krill eats the plankton.
Next is a predator who eats the consumer, for example sardine fish eat the krill, the krill eats plankton.
